A Village for All Seasons ...

Spring Scene

Spring, fall and winer all bring their own beauty to the Wilno hills. The popular Flaming Leaf tour on the Opeongo Line comes by here and the Madawaska Valley artisan's host their popular studio tour each October. Local residents know fall is here when the giant chicken heralding the annual "Chicken Supper" goes up on the lawn of St. Mary's. Winter brings superb snowmobiling on a TOPS trail and local people enjoy cross-country skiing, as well as skating and hockey on own outdoor rink. Spring, with its sweep of trilliums along the backroads brings pancakes and maple syrup breakfasts and the annual day long food and music feast that is Polish Day on May 3. Celebrations center on the weekend closest to May 3 and you can get more details at www.wilno.com.
